Apple launched its Pro version of AirPods in 10/28/2019.
After using and testing, we will discuss here its different features like how to use, Active noise cancellation, price, sound quality, water resistant and audio sharing etc. At the end we will conclude and give our opinion.
Apple AirPods Pro is in-ear instead of on-ear design, it has a tighter grip, better for runners, joggers, sports lovers, those who shake their head around a lot for some reason, or if you run upstairs often. Now you can go to the gym and do cardio with them on.

Use of AirPods Pro
AirPods Pro are always and auto connected as you wear them like AirPods 2 if you pair them first time. If we talk about it’s uses and different controls, all is done by pinching the force sensor on the stem rather tapping on buds. You can Press the force sensor once to play, pause, or answer a phone call. Press twice to skip forward and three times to skip back. And press and hold to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode. Use of SIRI is same just activate by saying ‘Hey Siri’ to do things like play a song, make a call, get directions, or announce and read your messages with Siri through your AirPods.Use of AirPods Pro with Android
Apple AirPods Pro are compatible with android but with some limitations. You just have to pair it with android or any Bluetooth compatible device by pressing the pairing button on the back of wireless charging case. The main thing you have to compromise will be the convenience of auto on, or auto connect feature. Audio and Mic will work but other controls given with force sensor like play/pause or skip forward or backward will not work. Also, you cannot check battery levels for the AirPods on an android device and cannot summon google assistant like Siri without using third party app.Battery life
AirPods Pro provide almost same battery life as compared to AirPods, rather a cut of half an hour of listening time when active noise or transparency on. Because the AirPods version 2 having no such feature of active noise cancelling or transparency, thus providing 5 hours of listening time. If you are very desperate or sensitive about battery, use it for 5 hours with active noise cancelling or transparency off. With single charge Pro has 3.5 hour talk time while Airpods have 3 hours And same time of 24 hours with charging case.Apple AirPods Pro Active Noise Cancellation
AirPods Pro offer three noise-control modes: Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, and Off. You can switch between them, depending on how much of your surroundings you want to hear. Having said active noise cancellation, a new feature that Apple invented just for this product. Sorry no that that's been a thing for a long time. It has outward facing microphone to detect consistent external sounds like background noise. They then create an equal and opposite audio signal which cancels out the first one. It usually works great in environments that are noisy in a consistent way like the cabin of an aircraft. But when it comes to unpredictable punctuated sounds like human voices, it tends to struggle. Also equipping the AirPods pro with inward-facing microphone to detect sound inside your ear canal to ensure that the active noise cancellation is working correctly. It doesn’t block or seal external noise perfectly, rather I would say it do it job up to 70%. If you focus to outside or aren't focused to music; you still may be able to pick out what's going on. It works great while you’re on a call or listening to music. When no music is playing though naturally you’ll notice more external sound due to the lack of music/audio And according to official, transparent mode is innovation of Apple, but we noticed the same functionality in the headset of other brands like Samsung and Sony. Transparency mode works exactly opposite to Active Noise Cancellation. The black airflow grills lets outside sound in, so you can clearly hear what's going on around you while listening to your audio content same time. When you’re on the road, Transparency mode is a better and recommended option - no fear of being ran over by a car or falling of garbage from a truck. AirPods Pro have a new control method you press and hold the force sensor on the stem of an AirPod until you hear a chime. With this method on either AirPod, you can switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode while wearing both AirPods and between Transparency mode and off while wearing single AirPod. And switching between these three modes are customizable in settings.Customizable Fit

Audio Sharing
Another appealing feature with AirPods Pro is Audio Sharing with some compatibility limitations as it works with latest version of iOS e.g. in iPhone8 or new. Now you and a friend can share the same audio stream on two sets of AirPods — so you can play a game, watch a movie, or listen to a song together.Water Resistant
AirPods Pro are sweat and water resistant and have a rating of IPX4 under IEC standard 60529. Having tighter grip and it's in-ear, may survive light rain. Do not recommended wearing them in heavy rain, water sports, going in the shower or dunk in the pool with it. It’s worth mentioning that only AirPods Pro are sweat and dust resistant but not the charging case, so do not attempt to charge wet AirPods Pro;Cons:
- Seeing its in-ear design, some users may not like the ear piece going into their ear canal, and some may feel this hollow air effect going on unless they turn on transparency mode or play music with active noise cancelling on.
- If you have an intense workout or do extreme sports and not mindful it still can fall out.
- During work out or running, some users may feel uncomfortable for pinching or squeezing the stem instead of tapping on the earbuds or rather expecting a physical button.
- No physical volume controls on buds. It seems Apple encouraging the use of Siri that requires internet source.
- We applied a blind fold test, and found better sound quality, but found no significant improvement in AirPods pro as compared to previous versions of AirPods.
- the charging case and headphones must not be lost, the official charging case and headphones accessories are expensive. Also, you can’t use charging case of AirPods 1 or 2 if you already have them, because they do not fit each other and are not compatible.
- You can only get them engraved before purchase, but don’t after you’ve purchased.
